2nd April: International Children's Book Day

International Children's Book Day is a yearly event sponsored by the International Board on Books for Young People. This day was first observed in the year 1967. International Children’s book day is observed on or around Hans Christian Andersen's birthday, April 2nd. Many events are held on this occasion.



The above stamp was issued by India in the year 1978 depicting the World Book Fair, held at New Delhi.
